An appeal fund has been launched to raise money to restore the Moorside War memorial to its former glory to serve as a fitting reminder to those service personnel of the parish who gave their lives during both World Wars.
To restore the Memorial to its former glory the Appeal needs to raise the sum of around £7,500. A grant from the English Heritage War memorials Trust of £2,500, together with a generous donation of £1000 fro the Holy Rood Church Retirement Fellowship has seen the Appeal get off to a fantastic start.
However, that means we still have just over £4,000 to raise.
