Recent events in the parish have included a Quiz Night, Murder Mystery dinner, a Halloween family night, Silent Auction, music concerts, summer BBQ, Brass Band concert, Christmas party, Harvest parish lunch, Saturday coffee mornings, Easter breakfast, and more. For those who enjoy walking, the Holy Rood Ramblers organise regular walks for different abilities.

Holy Rood also hosts two annual fairs, with numerous stalls, and a chance to drink Gaelic coffee and meet Santa Claus at Christmas, or have a go at archery or on our Bouncy Castle, and play games in summer.

There are also a number of weekly activities in Holy Rood Hall, to which all are welcome. These include Holy Rood Stage Society, the Archery Club, the Retirement Fellowship, a Ladies Group, Keep Fit, and Karate. For children, there are Rainbows, Beavers, Brownies, Cubs, and Guides. Holy Rood also hosts a regular play group, a parent and toddler group, and an Out of School club.
