

Holy Rood Stage Society is a thriving amateur dramatics society, based at Holy Rood Memorial Hall. The hall boasts a full stage, and professional lighting and sound equipment.
The society usually puts on at least three productions a year, including the ever popular Christmas Pantomime, an all-singing, all-dancing Summer Revue, and another comedy or drama. Standards are high, and performances attract audiences from across the Salford and Greater Manchester area.
The Stage Society also produce an annual Murder Mystery Dinner, playing out a murder in three acts, whilst the audience enjoy a meal, and try to guess whodunnit ! Scripts are written by the Society’s own playwright, and have been sold worldwide. To find out more click here.
The Society has a large membership of all ages, including children, teenagers, young people, and adults, and new members are always welcome. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved, whether acting or singing, or working backstage on music, production, costume, or set design.
